Black and Gold Birthday Tablescape

New_size_125_tall I’m linking to: http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/2010/01/welcome-to-75th-tablescape-thursday.html

Thursday is Andrew’s 20th birthday so while I was in a black and gold mood I decided to see if I could come up with a black and gold tablescape. It turns out I could.

Andrew was born on Superbowl Sunday 1990 and he has always been a Saints fan. It looks like he will be in Miami on the day of the game gettin the NFL experience. He won’t be going to the game but will be going to some of the festivities leading up to it.

Go Saints!

School Day Breakfast/Tablescape Thursday

I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday

On Wednesday of this week the kids had waffles, canadian bacon, fresh fruit and Tang.

This particular plate was eaten by our favorite Franciscan who just happened to stop by at the
right time.

It seems we have a better school day if everybody has a good breakfast.

The dishware pictured is:
Dinner plate : Mainstays
Salad Plate : Totally Today
Glass: Jelly jar with handle
Flatware: Reed and Barton
Place mat: Levi Strauss
Krusteaze waffle tip: I like to add a little vanilla to the mix. Makes it extra yummy!
Thanks for stopping by.

On Monday when our three older kids came home from a three week trip to the Great Northwest and all points inbetween we had a Welcome Home dinner for them. They requested Stuffed Bread and a Summer Berry Salad. Aimee and I had lots of fun setting the table and making it a festive occasion. I used my white Totally Today dinner plates topped with Spode Blue Room salad plates. The cobalt water glasses I got years ago at Dollar General. I finally got to use my Pier One blue porcelain teapot napkin rings. I love the way the table turned out.

Summer Salad Recipe

3 Heads of Romaine Lettuce Chopped

1 pint of strawberries sliced
1pint of blueberries
1/4 red onion sliced very thin.
Toss all ingredients in a pretty bowl and top with Brianna's Blush Salad Dressing.

I forgot to take a picture of the Stuffed Bread and since we never have leftovers no pic.

Tablescape Thursday

Today's table scape is all about summertime. I used yesterdays flea marketing finds.

Along with my blue bubble iced tea glasses, clear glass fruit compotes, my everyday flatware, and hydrangeas from my front yard.

Easter Tablescape

Join Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch for all the lovely new tablescape posts. http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
Today my sister Katy from http://katylarson.blogspot.com/ came over to help me with a big decorating project while she was here she helped me create this lovely little breakfast tablescape. I'm going to serve my kiddoes Raspberry White Chocolate scones, eggs and what ever else they want for breakfast in the morning.

Twenty years ago when my husband was tearing down an old house on Avery Island (home of Tabasco), to recycle and use for a house we never built, he found this cute little piggy and a few other treasures. I just love him and my husband too.

Table for four in the kitchen.

I picked up these precious Bordallo dishes at Ross earlier this spring. The little dessert plates are not marked but are just the cutest little things.

This one has a pig in the center.

The yellow luncheon size plate have a bunny in the center and carrots around the rim.

The little coordinating bowl, spreader and placecard holder are from Target.

This little pink depression glass was a gift from my Mom and Dad. Isn't it sweet.

Happy Easter
