Momma's Day Out

Yesterday I got away and took a little time for myself. I met my friend Nicole and her daughter Malory in Arnaudville at St Theresa's. I found a few goodies there including a cute fat apothecary jar, a few interesting jars to use in gift baskets, a precious cream and sugar, silk day lilies and fern, shelf liner and a yellow fiestaware teapot with no lid. Then we drove down to Breaux Bridge and hit a couple of flea markets there. At Bayou Town I found a few pieces of my Blue Whisper china, 8 place settings of my Totally Today white dishes w/ extra bowls and salad plates ( I now have 24 complete place settings and lots of extra bowls and salad/dessert plates), two pressed glass candy dishes, airplane decals, a really cute berry round table cloth. All in all a fun and lovely day with cherished friends.

Today's table scape is all about summertime. I used yesterdays flea marketing finds.

Just like a Kenny Chesney song.......

Sweet Summertime is definitely here. I canned 10 quarts of sweet corn yesterday with the help of my wonderful husband. The corn is from the garden of my sweeet sis Katy and her hubby David. Thanks guys we'll looking forward to lots of suppers with this yummmy summertime taste.

I love Monogramming

Here's Miss Jo Jo in her new red polka dot sundress. Isn't she just the cutest.

Tablescapes from a Spring Luncheon

I'm posting this a little early for Tablescape Thursday. Join Susan at Between Naps on the Porch on Thursday to see all of the pretty posts. http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/

Here are the tablescapes from our Ladies Spring Luncheon in April. We had a wonderful day with all of our lovely ladies. (See my previous post for pics of all of our guests.

Table in the kitchen for the little girls. I used my violet snack sets on this table with violet egg shaped salt and pepper set. Their party favor was a collectible tea cup and saucer and a bottle of linen spray. Love the violets.

This is the table in the dining room for the ladies. I used my Johnson Bros Summer chintz plates with a white salad plates and yellow accents. Party favors for the ladies were lavender and lemon verbena soaps and homemade chocolate biscotti.

This is the table in the living room for the big girls. With my white plates and Johnson Bros Summer chintz salad plates.

Spring time wreath I made with a vintage daisy plate.

We had such a lovely day. I can't wait to do this again.

Spring Luncheon

On Tuesday April 14th my sister Katy and I hosted a spring luncheon. Guests included Momma, Robin, Aunt Diane, Paislee, Jeanine, Michelle, Annette, Elizabeth, Erica, Alexa, Krista, Kali, Brandi and Maddie. Our guests came dressed for the occasion and they all looked so pretty. We took group pictures of all of the families. Sister Mary Tarcisius and Lorraine Stahl stopped by for a few minutes and we had a short but lovely visit with them. Everyone contributed to the menu and the food was dainty and very yummy.
