Superbowl

On Superbowl Sunday we had a few people over to watch history being made.  What a wonderful day. 

Of course we had a few things to nibble on and help us get into the party mood.

Blueberry Cream Cheese BREES cake.  It was oh so yummy and a big hit with the party goers.  You can find the recipe here.  Thanks Rhoda for the easy fabulous recipe.  I’ll definitely be making it again soon.

Aimee is a Saints Fan

Over the past couple of years Aimee has had the opportunity to attend 2 Saints home games with Sr. Tarcisius.

On this occasion she got to meet a few Blue Angels pilots before the game upstairs in the Saints offices.

Today I decided that we need a little black and gold around here to celebrate the upcoming black and gold superbowl.  Not wanting to spend any money to do this I looked around the house and this is what I came up with.

 

Straw Wreath, Mardi Gras Mask, Fleur d Lis, gold ribbon and a black tablecloth

I wrapped the straw wreath with a black tablecloth, Christmas beads and added a boa & gold ribbon bow, fleur d lis and made over Mardi Gras masks.  I love how it came out.
